What does the position involve?

Availability: 24-32 hours per week

Are you someone who likes to create overviews, keep processes running smoothly and is energized by an environment where your role really makes a difference? For our Haarlem office, we are looking for an independent Office Manager who will ensure that everything is tightly organized behind the scenes, so that our lawyers can fully focus on clients and files. You will work in a small team, have a lot of responsibility and be an indispensable link in the daily functioning of the office.

You are the first point of contact for all kinds of practical and administrative questions, keep the lines of communication short and ensure that appointments, documents and processes are correct. You see where things can be done smarter or more efficiently and take a proactive approach.

Claims process & accounts receivable management

Manage and where possible improve the claims process and accounts receivable management.

Practice support & client contact

Support attorneys in daily practice and contact with clients/relationships (by phone and email).

Office organization, Microsoft 365 & process improvement

File and document management in Microsoft 365, coordination with external service providers, office practical/organizational in order, thinking along on more efficient processes and newsletter/communication support.

“What I enjoy most about my work is that I can fully focus on and immerse myself in employment law, while still having a lot of variety within the field itself. I usually work for employers, but sometimes I also assist an employee. The topics are also very diverse. One moment it’s about a dismissal case and then, for example, about employer liability or social security. If it has to do with employment law, it comes across my desk! Also, the colleagues at Wessel van der Lans Advocaten are always available for questions, support, and guidance. I find that very pleasant and enjoyable to work with.”

What kind of cases are you currently working on?
“At the moment, I am working on, among other things, a case about inappropriate behavior, a redundancy issue, and a dismissal case.”
