Since April 1, 2020, employers can apply for compensation from UWV for the paid transition payment. The scheme also applies to transition payments that were paid on or after July 1, 2015 and before April 1, 2020. The scheme therefore works retroactively. <strong>Civil servants are also<\/strong> covered by the scheme.   <\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the Conditions for Compensation?<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be eligible for compensation, the following conditions must be met:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The employment contract of the sick employee was terminated due to long-term (longer than 2 years) incapacity for work.<\/li>\n<li>The employee was still sick when the employment relationship ended.<\/li>\n<li>A transition payment was made to the employee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Amount is Compensated by UWV?<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The compensation based on the Transition Payment Compensation Scheme can add up considerably. The amount of compensation depends on the length of employment, the salary level, and the amount paid to the employee. In most cases, it concerns the full transition payment paid to the employee.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wessel Van der Lans Advocaten helps employers reclaim the paid transition payment.
